Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

The Wildthing’s Year of 2008

It has been an eventful year. We truly have been blessed and have had many wonderful experiences this year. We are so very grateful for the power of prayer and for a loving Heavenly Father. This time of year is always so humbling and we are grateful to be able to focus on Christ and all that he has sacrificed for each of us. We are also thankful for wonderful family and friends! Here is a little bit about each of our family members and what has happened with them throughout this wonderful Year of 2008!

Russ- Still a Risk Manager at Strategic Staffing (or now called BBSI). Russ is still working with the Priest in our ward. He loves this calling. Russ got to go and help out for a week at the Stake Priest Encampment (or as he called it “Man Camp”.) Russ went on his yearly backpacking trip with his cousins to the Sawtooths. He had surgery on his ankle that he broke a few years back to remove the pins and will be having surgery on the other ankle the end of December to remove bone chips.

Amber- Staying at home with the three kids. Loving it most of the time. Enrichment Leader for the ward. Is keeping busy every month with that. Joined a Stamp Club. Love’s getting a night out by herself to do what she loves! Just starting watching a 3 month little girl two days a week. Crazy? Yes, I am!

Jaxon- Is 8 years old and attending the 3rd Grade at Jenny P Stewart. Plays the piano, soccer, and did archery and tennis this summer. Had surgery in August to clean up a ruptured appendix. Stayed in the hospital for over a week. Glad to be able to jump on the trampoline again. Loves to spend his time at home, with his family, and playing with his toys. Absolutely, the BEST big brother anyone could ask for!

Brynn- Were do we start? Let’s just say she is very busy, messy and TWO. She is full of cuteness, though! She keeps our family laughing and very tired from chasing and cleaning up after her. She loves her brother and sister, most of the time. Loves to play dress up and spend time with her cousins.

Avery- 9 months old. She has the best smile. Avery is very easy going, but is very busy as well! She is crawling everywhere especially up the stairs. She says “Da Da” and “Ah-Oh.” She loves her dad, and I guess the rest of the family. As everyone knows she was born with three holes in her heart and they are officially closed up. What a miracle! She has brought so much love into our home!

Happy Birthday MOM

It's my mom's birthday today! I am so glad that she is my MOM! My mom is the smartest, most generous, most loving person, and has the most contagious laugh! You can't help but be happy when she is smiling and laughing. She has the best sense of humor! If you can believe this, my mom loves RAP music. She also works at a prison in California. Most women, and men for that matter would be terrified to work there, oh no, not my mom. She loves helping others and really wants them to be successful in life. One thing my mom has taught me is, when you don't like something, CHANGE IT. There is no time to sit and sulk and say poor me. I love that about her. Thanks mom for be such a "Strong" women in my life. I love you and ENJOY YOUR DAY!

Catching Up

Ok, so it really has been awhile since I last posted. So I will catch everyone up on what has been going on. So the last post was about our anniversary. Right before our Anniversary Russ had surgery on his ankle to get the screws removed from his injury about three years ago Thanksgiving day. All went pretty good for the most part with that. Russ and I got to go on an overnighter to the Armstrong Mansion. Uncle Chad watched the kids. I was a little nervous at first about leaving them, but he did an awesome job! Thank you, Chad! Ok then moving on to Thanksgiving. My parents and brothers family from Vegas came here for Thanksgiving. My dad's side of the family got together at our Aunt Kris' house. It was fun to see most of my cousins, aunts, uncles, and my grandma. The kids loved to spend time with there cousins from Vegas. We don't get to see them much. Brynn had Trinity withdrawls after she left. I have been busy with Enrichment (which is over now) and I also helped my sister-in-law do a bow party and then I had another one the other day. I also started watching a three month old little girl on Monday and Wednesdays. We also took a trip up to Nampa, Idaho for our little neice Ellie's blessing. We had a good visit there. We stayed with Russ' mom. So life has been pretty busy lately. And no, I am not even close to being done with Christmas shopping. So there it is. I will post pictures of the events!
