Top of Utah Marathon

This was my 1st Marathon. The run was my favorite so far. As far as the scenery anyway. I wasn't expecting so many hills towards the end though. I am grateful that I was able to achieve this goal. Training was intense and I have to say that I have the best husband in the world. He supported me the entire way. On my long runs he would pack up the kids and bring me water or GU. He even bought 60lbs of ice for after my 22 mile run and filled the bath with it. Best and worst thing I ever did. I was scared that I wasn't going to be able to finish. I pushed through it and did it. My goal was under 4 hours and I barely made it. My time was 3:59:27. I cut that one way to close. My wonderful brother and soon to be sister-in-law came to cheer me on! They are so awesome!!! I think that I have forgotten about this one because I am signing up for the Utah Valley Marathon in June. Wish me luck. My goal this time is to beat my last time. I can do this!!!!

Strawberry Lake

The same day as my Marathon we took the kids up to Strawberry Lake. We met up with Chad and Megan and and the kids. The kids caught crawdads. We didn't eat them, like most people. We had a shrimp fry instead. Less work. Even if I could barely walk we had a great time!

St. George Vacation/Hobble Creek Half Marathon

This summer we went to St. George for a whole week. It was fabulous. Really we just swam everyday in this awesome pool. We did go to visit my Grandma Beeson and Aunt Linda a couple of times. We also went to Las Vegas for a day and shopping of course. I ran everyday on a great trail that was close by. I had to get up early because by 7:00 it was way to hot to run. It was so nice to have a whole week with just my husband and kids relaxing and enjoying each other. Well, most of the time anyway. Jaxon had gone with our neighbors to St. George on Friday to Sunday. We surprised him on Sunday by having our neighbors drop him off at where we were staying. He wasn't so thrilled to spend another week in St. George but, he got over it. On the way home we stayed in Springville overnight. That next morning was my Hobble Creek Half Marathon. I met up with my friends, Janene, Debbie, Marzena, and Amy. Marcus and Natalie came to see me also. I did my personal best and ran 1:44 Minutes. I was pretty excited about that. It was a great way to end a week.

Fall

For some reason it seemed like I was constantly raking up leaves this fall. I would rake them into a pile and then the kids would scatter them. Oh well, that is the fun of fall right? The kids got creative and climbed on top of the garbage can and then jumped into the pile. Love their creativity!!!

Farner's Train Ride

Our friends had a Fundraiser for Primary Children's and had a train there. The kids had so much fun riding on this little train. Even Jaxon! They also got horns to blow. I had to listen to them all day, until I threw them away. They were fun while they lasted. I have to say that we have the most generous and thoughtful neighbors around! They are always making me want to do more and better!!!

Grandma Wilding's Surprise Birthday Party

In October we went to Grandma Wilding's for her surprise party. We first met up at a restaurant. Then we told her that we needed to stop by her niece Jill's house to help her move something. She was really surprised to see her sister's and some of their kids there. The kids loved Jill's big playroom and pretty much played there the whole time until we ate cake and ice cream of course. We then spent Saturday at Janette's and then left Sunday. I had to get back to work that night. We took the kids to the hotel where Chad and Megan were staying and let them go swimming. Jaxon stayed with grandma at the house. The kids also had fun playing games and making crafts with Grandma. Grandma Wilding gave Brynn a piece of Gold/Black shiny material to make something with. She designed a dress out of it instead. They still love to design outfits out of it. The things that can make kids happy.
