So Russ left us for a week. He went to "Man Camp". It really was a Stake encampment for the Teachers and Priests. So I was all alone for a week with the kids. It really did go by pretty fast considering all that I went through. I know that I keep posting about our almost two year old Brynn. But that's just it, two year olds run the household. I will just tell you a portion of what went on this week and believe me I could go on and on. You all have been there so I won't make you feel to bad for me. So we started out the week with killing a day at the Dinosaur Park. Brynn fell right when we got there and cut up her hands. So needless to say she looked like a bloody mess. Oh well, the kids still had fun. Tuesday we all went to Roberts Crafts and as I am checking out the cashier asks if I wanted that and was pointing to what Brynn had in her hands. I go to look at her and she had opened a bottle of paint that she must of snatched off the shelf when I wasn't looking and smeared the paint all over her face, hands, and clothes. Needless to say, I bought the paint. I then had to go over to Target grocery shopping. I didn't have any wet wipes so as I am walking into Target everyone is looking at Brynn and thinking "oh, you poor mom". Jaxon just kept saying, "Mom your going to ground her or put her in time out, right?" I still haven't figured out how to punish a two year old. Any ideas? Well, the week went on with her pooping on the floor. Brynn taking off at the Discovery Center and a women holding her and asking around who's child this is. I wanted to run the other direction but, I claimed her. The lady was irritated and told me that Brynn was headed onto the elevator to go up to the next level. I guess this lady had perfect children. I was watching Opera one day and she had a bald, black man with a goatee as a guest. Brynn looks at the TV and yells "Dave, that's Dave". Dave is Russ' good friend. He is bald and has a goatee. But he isn't Black. Jaxon and I got a kick out of that. She thought for sure that was Dave. It was really cute. Well, I am sure glad that our Bishop gave Russ and I a blessing before Russ left. I know that I would have been a wreck when he got home. I just laughed everything off and sure wish that I had a camera with me at Roberts. Wow, that's all I have to say. Jaxon was a huge help. I am sure going to miss having him around when he goes back to school. Avery was very good also. I am blessed to have such entertaining, loving children. My life would be dull without them!

I have to tell you, Amber, that she reminds me of Tailer. I had just about the same experience with her in Walmart when she was about 3 yrs old. We were in the clothing department and she wanted out of the shopping cart. I told her to stay right be me while I look at clothes. Soon, I heard a woman say "Whose child is this? Someone's little girl just pooped on the floor!". I knew immediately whose child it was - MINE!!!! Not only had she pooped on the floor, but she had taken off her dress and tights and pulled down her panties and pooped right on the spot!!! I had to buy new panties, new tights, and I never could find where she hid her dress!!!!!!
Aunt Linda
That is so funny. Amber you are such a good mom. You have a good attitude! You are a good example to me.
I totally know those days. You are great to be so patient. It is funny, but in Utah, things like that would happen and most would just brush it off, but for things like that here in Cali, it is a huge deal! Or maybe it is just that way to me since there are hardly any kids about. You are a trooper. Your kids are adorable and healthy! You can make it through. You are doing a great job! Keep it up.
I have had weeks like this with my little London..it's exhausting and seems like you can't get a grip..but you will. You are a great mommy!
oh so its not just boys who can be challenging to take into public. Makes me feel a little better. Sorry we weren't able to call in while in Utah. We were there for just a few days and were busy with the reunion. I thought of you though and missed you terribly!
