Pedi's and Mani's

My girls love to give Pedicures and Manicures to each other. Russ treated us one day to go get our hands and feet done by someone else. The girls shoes Red,White, and Blue for the colors. They have been so excited for the 4th of July. After, I took them to a yogurt shop. Since, I never had sisters (but I do have a wonderful, girly mom) it has been especially fun to go and do girly things with them!

Kids Kamp

I signed the girls up for Kids Kamp this summer. It was held at Smoot Park. The girls loved it. There was crafts, games, and songs that they learned. It lasted three weeks. I was tempted to have them go to the 2nd session. They are excited to go again next summer.

Camp Cooks

Russ and I got called to be Camp Cooks for the Young Men Priesthood Encampment. I personally was not that thrilled about it but, I am so glad that I was able to be a part of this amazing camp. My parents were kind enough to take a week off of work to watch my kiddos. What a blessing! Also, we were able to stay in a nearby cabin that a sweet family let us use. No Camping in a tent. This was looking better already. I can't believe the work that everyone put into this camp. From the kitchen setup to the activities that were available for the boys. I have never seen anything like it. Russ however, got to take part in this 4 years ago. It was fun to work with new people. The weather was pretty much ideal for the situation. I took my mountain bike and went for a long bike ride. I thought I might not make it back at one point. The wind was hard to bike against.  This was in Wyoming. It is always windy. Russ went fishing and shot his bow. We took an amazing hike and got a rundown on the history of the area. However, we did have to cut this week short because my Uncle Leo passed away and we wanted to attend his funeral in St. George. It really worked out well for my parents because they were already in Utah. Another, of many blessings.

Utah Valley Half Marathon

My friend and I ran the Utah Valley Half Marathon in June. I didn't do as well as I had hoped. At about mile 12, I started to feel lightheaded and sick to my stomach. I pushed through it though. I finished 1hr and 50 minutes. I still beat my last time, so I guess that is good.

Kindergarten Chinese Performance

Brynn is in a Chinese Immersion Program at her school. It is amazing how much she has learned in this 1st year! At parent teacher conference we were blown away by how much she understood and could say. In the Chinese Classroom they are only allowed to speak Chinese. We have truly loved her teachers. Both in English and Chinese.

Scouts

The pictures are not the best, but at least I have something. These are of Jaxon getting an award. Can't remember  which one. I guess it was a big one because I had to go up with him.

Jaxon's 6th grade Graduation

Jaxon has graduated from 6th grade. First of all, I really cannot believe that I have a 6th/7th grader and 2nd truly where has the time gone? I love this kid! His has such a sweet sensitive heart! He would do anything for his family! What a fun day for him. After the graduation the 6th graders had a dance. The parents were not able to attend, probably because we would be taking pictures and the kids would be to embarrassed to dance. Anyway, what a bittersweet day for me and I am sure for Jaxon.
