4th of July

To start off this 4th of July weekend, we decorated the kids bikes and went to the Children's Parade. It is always hectic getting the bikes and kids ready ,hot, one or more children end up crying and then it is over within 15-20 minutes. Every year I ask myself we I put myself through this. It's tradition, right? This may be the last year. Anyway, I think the kids enjoy it? Maybe next year we watch. My grandma Foutz came to town to visit. So she got to see the kids in the parade. After, we lit a few fireworks. The kids go nuts over the smoke bombs. They love to dance in the smoke. It could be the bright colors also. The next day we had a BBQ with Marcus, Natalie, Grandma Foutz, Chad, Megan, and the kids. Then we went to Dave's (Russ' best friend) house. He puts on a wonderful firework show. Our neighbors bring over the Candy Cannon. It is always a hit with the kids and adults for that matter. I could not believe how much ash fell on our heads. It felt like it was raining ash. We did more fireworks with our neighbors the next week. It felt like the week was full of fireworks. We love the 4th!!!
